New Orleans has a rich culture. One of the city's greatest traditions is that of the Mardi Gras Indians. Every year during carnival season and some even during the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (Jazz Fest). They can be seen around the city during Saint Josephs Day.

The suit each "Indian" wears is unique and individually hand-made. These suits can weigh as much as 150lbs.

"Iko Iko" is taunting threat that rival tribes say to one another on Saints Josephs Night.
